What we collect

  • Account info: your email, password (hashed), display name, and anything you choose to add to your profile (bio, avatar, favourite beer, local pub).
  • Location: only if you switch on "share my location" — we store the coordinates you set so other lads in your area can see you on the map. Off by default.
  • Content: messages, shouts, and photos you post in chats and groups.
  • Technical: standard server logs (IP, browser, timestamps) to keep the app running and spot abuse.

What we don't do

  • We don't sell your data. Ever.
  • We don't run advertising trackers.
  • We don't share your location with anyone if you haven't opted in.

Who can see what

  • Your name, avatar, and bio are visible to other authenticated users.
  • Your precise location is only visible if you've turned on location sharing.
  • Chat messages are visible to members of that group or crew only.
  • Friend requests are visible only to you and the lad you sent it to.

Your rights

Under GDPR (and similar laws elsewhere) you can:

  • Ask for a copy of your data
  • Correct anything that's wrong
  • Delete your account and everything tied to it
  • Withdraw consent for location sharing at any time

To exercise any of these, head to your profile settings or contact us.

Storage & security

Data is stored on managed cloud infrastructure with industry-standard encryption in transit (HTTPS) and at rest. Row-level security rules make sure users can only access data they're entitled to.

Cookies

We use a small number of essential cookies / local storage entries to keep you signed in. No third-party advertising cookies.

Changes

If we change how we handle your data, we'll update this page and let you know in the app for material changes.
